Dear Client,

At Ethos Skin and Laser Clinic, we are committed to delivering safe, effective, and results-driven treatments in a professional and welcoming environment. These Terms & Conditions are in place to ensure clarity, safety, and the highest standard of care for all clients.

Appointments & Booking

All appointments must be secured with a valid booking. A deposit may be required.
Please arrive on time. Late arrivals may result in reduced treatment time or rescheduling.
New clients and certain treatments require a consultation prior to booking.

Deposits

Deposits are required for selected treatments and appointments.
Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred if sufficient notice is given in line with our cancellation policy.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

Please see our rescheduling & cancellation policy.
Cancellations made within 48 hours may result in loss of deposit or a cancellation fee.
Missed appointments (no-shows) will be charged at 100% of the treatment cost.

Consultation & Suitability

All treatments are subject to a consultation to assess suitability.
We reserve the right to refuse or postpone treatment where it is deemed unsafe or unsuitable.
Clients must provide accurate and complete medical and lifestyle information.

Laser & IPL Treatments – Safety & Compliance

Patch Testing

A patch test is mandatory for all laser and IPL treatments and must be completed at least 24–48 hours prior to treatment.
Failure to attend a required patch test will result in cancellation of your appointment.

Pre-Treatment Requirements

Clients must avoid sun exposure, tanning products, and contraindicated medications as advised prior to treatment.
Treatment cannot be carried out on recently tanned or compromised skin.

Client Responsibility

You must disclose all relevant:
Medical conditions
Medications (including Roaccutane, antibiotics, etc.)
Recent skin treatments and sun exposure
We cannot be held responsible for adverse reactions where this information has not been fully disclosed.

Contraindications & Right to Refuse

We reserve the right to refuse or delay treatment where safety may be compromised, including due to skin condition or medical concerns.

Risk Acknowledgement

While treatments are carried out to the highest safety standards, potential side effects may include:
Redness, swelling, or sensitivity
Temporary pigmentation changes
Rare risk of blistering or scarring
By proceeding with treatment, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

Eye Protection

Protective eyewear must be worn at all times during laser/IPL treatments.
Failure to comply will result in immediate termination of the treatment.

Course of Treatments

A course of treatments is typically required for optimal results.
Results vary between individuals and cannot be guaranteed.

Advanced Skin Treatments (Microneedling, Peels, etc.)

Treatment Suitability

Advanced treatments are subject to consultation and skin assessment.
We may decline treatment if the skin barrier is impaired or contraindications are present.

Expected Reactions & Downtime

Treatments may result in temporary:
Redness, swelling, or sensitivity
Dryness, flaking, or peeling
Downtime varies depending on the treatment and will be discussed during consultation.

Client Responsibility

Clients must follow all pre- and post-treatment advice provided.
Failure to follow guidance may affect results and increase the risk of complications.

Results Disclaimer

Results vary depending on individual skin type, condition, and lifestyle factors.
A course of treatments and appropriate homecare are recommended for best outcomes.

Complications

Rare complications may include prolonged redness, pigmentation changes, or infection.
Any concerns must be reported within 48 hours of treatment.

Aftercare

Aftercare advice will be provided following your treatment.
Strict adherence is essential to support results and minimise risk.
We are not responsible for complications arising from failure to follow aftercare guidance.

Payments

Payment is required in full at the time of treatment unless otherwise agreed.
We accept cash and card payments.
Courses and packages must be paid in advance.

Packages & Courses

All packages are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Treatments must be used within a specified validity period.
Unused sessions after expiry will be forfeited.

Refund Policy

We do not offer refunds on completed treatments.
Products may be returned within 14 days only if faulty.

Children & Clinic Environment

For safety and insurance reasons, children are not permitted in treatment rooms.
Please attend appointments alone unless agreed in advance.

Personal Belongings

We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings.

Photography & Treatment Records

Clinical photographs may be taken for assessment and record keeping.
Images will only be used for marketing purposes with your explicit consent.

Privacy & Data Protection

All personal data is handled in accordance with GDPR.
Information is used solely for treatment planning, safety, and clinic communication.

Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse service where behaviour, safety, or suitability is of concern.

Complaints

We aim to provide a high standard of service and care.
Any concerns should be raised within 48 hours so they can be addressed promptly.

Amendments

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
The most current version will always be available on our website or upon request.
